SERVICE TEAM
One of the five primary areas of ministry
identified at
GLC. Focus – To oversee the
physical operation of the church plant. Responsibilities include
repairs and maintenance, custodial coordination, church use policies,
church expansion, stewardship education and the overseeing of expenditures
and the budget.
1. Successfully raised money to
help pay for excessive snow removal expenses for the winter of 2009-2010.
2. Reviewed/Monitored the monthly general and trust account
financial reports.
3. Remodeling of the Fellowship hall was
completed.
4. Accepted a donation of a tractor/snow blower to
help reduce the cost of snow removal.
5. Worked with the
Personnel Committee to hire replacements for both Receptionist/Office
Professional and Finance Director due to resignations of
both of these positions. Cathy Jobe and Maggie Malo were hired.
6.
Barry Hilgendorf agreed to serve as a member of the Service Ministry Team.
7. Worked with the custodian to maintain the Church property.
8.
Reviewed Grace & Growth investments and made changes as needed.
9.
Reviewed Memorial & Special Gift Policy. Requested Ministry Teams to
submit a list of possible items that could be added to the currently
Memorial
and special gift list.
10.
Installed ice maker in the kitchen.
11. Worked with the Financial
Director to prepare the 2011 budget.
12. Accepted the resignation of
Ken Craig from the Service Ministry Team.
