Grace is a place where God’s people gather for worship, grow in faith, enjoy one another and find meaning for their lives by loving and serving the needs of others. If this sounds exciting to you, please know that you are invited to come, visit, browse, participate and share in the faith community here at Grace. We are the body of Christ that gives of our gifts, resources and time to share the love of God outside of our walls. Our daily lives are the mission field that we enter into after worship supported by God's word, holy supper, prayers and fellowship.

Grace Lutheran Church is a faith community of 700 members and friends, existing for the purposes of:  worshipping our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ, and sharing his love with the world.  Grace’s congregational design is in place to serve God through ministry teams that focus on Worship, Outreach, Fellowship, Service, Congregational Care and Children Youth and Family. It is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), and is part of the Southeastern Minnesota Synod.

Grace’s first worship service took place July 8, 1928 in the hall over a hardware store in downtown Fairmont.  It moved to its own building on First Street and Prairie Avenue in 1931, where the congregation worshiped and served until moving in 1950 to its present location on the corner of Grant and Webster Streets. The Education wing was added to this building in 1964.

Our Core Values are: Faith, Christ-centered Community and Service.

Our Mission: To boldly live out faith in Jesus through worship, fellowship, and service to God and our neighbor, here and around the world.

Our Vision: Guided by prayer and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Grace Lutheran welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds, to be fed and forgiven as we meet Jesus at the table, and to participate together in making Jesus known to all.
