Becoming a Member

We welcome you to join us for worship, Bible study, a meal or any event that interests you.

The New Member orientation process includes several ways to become acquainted with Grace Lutheran Church.  Those coming from another Lutheran congregation are received by transfer and those coming from a non-Lutheran background are welcomed by adult affirmation of faith. Currently, this takes place twice a year- once in the fall and once in the spring.  If you have questions, please call and ask for Pastor John (238-4418) or contact Grace for more information- office@gracelutheranchurch.org

Baptism

The celebration of entering God’s family is always a special occasion, and is observed during a congregational worship service.  As Lutherans, most of our baptisms involve infants, but any age is the right age to receive God’s promise.  Arrangements for Holy Baptism are made with a pastor by contacting the church office
for more information- office@gracelutheranchurch.org

First Communion

We believe that the decision about the age for a child to begin receiving communion is best made by each family.  To help make that decision, GLC offers a workshop in the fall, and a mini-retreat in the spring.  The typical age for this consideration is mid-to-late elementary grades, but participants have ranged from 1st grade to 9th grade.  We encourage you to speak with a pastor for further clarification regarding first communion.
